Booth Update - Corpus Christi Festival of the Arts

I just checked in at the Festival of the Arts! Heritage Park is transforming! The performing area is in the middle of the park in front of the Galvan House. The vending area is split between the two parking lots. My booth is located in the parking lot on the corner of Fitzgerald and Mesquite. It is going to be beautiful this weekend!

Corpus Christi Festival of the Arts 2014 THIS WEEKEND!!!

Corpus Christi's BIGGEST ART FESTIVAL of the YEAR! THIS WEEKEND! Come out and see me at the Corpus Christi Festival of the Arts 2014 in Heritage Park. It is all day Saturday and Sunday. This is my 4th year in the festival. Love it! Several of my friends will be there - visit Jennifer Racette of Alison Julien Collection and Alonzo Franco of South Texas Pens. I love their work!!! (I also heard Callie's Cajun will be there, too!)

Accepted to Corpus Christi Festival of the Arts 2014!

I will be showing my art jewelry at the 2014 Corpus Christi Festival of the Arts again this year! This year it will be held in Heritage Park on March 29th and 30th. I can't wait! Here is the website for the festival: http://www.ccfestivalarts.org/

Corpus Christi Creative Connections

Corpus Christi Creative Connections is located in Heritage Park in Corpus Christi, Texas. It is the group that puts on the annual Corpus Christi Festival of the Arts every March. I have been lucky to be a part of the Board of the Directors in the last year. Also, as an art vendor, I have been able to show my work not only at the Festival of the Arts, but also the Art in the Park events in Heritage Park. I am going to start posting events on my blog to let everyone know of the great things happening in the Merriman Bobys House, the headquarters for Corpus Christi Creative Connections. One notable new activity is the quarterly "Artist Speaks" series. It was kicked off by Amado Pena Jr. He was a phenomenal speaker and shared his experiences as an artist with the crowd.

Corpus Christi Festival of the Arts

Mom and I are on the vending artisans list! We hope to see you there this weekend! :)

Metal work :)

I will be working on my metal pieces for the next few days...preparing for the Corpus Christi Festival of the Arts (March 26th and 27th). The new pieces are copper, red brass, nickel silver, and aluminum. I can't wait to show y'all!

I'm going to start off with bandages on my left hand to prevent injury. Katie told me that I can't actually put blood, sweat, and tears into my art. I agree...but I thought that was funny coming from a 9 year old. I guess she has seen me injure myself enough.

I am so excited about my booth!!!!!! :)

Oh, also...I finished a copper and petrified wood cuff for a show piece. It is being juried right now, so I don't have pictures, but I am super proud of it. It is called, "Petrified Forest Copper Cuff." It has a pretty awesome curly copper tree. I'll post some pics when I get them. I did another tree cuff that I will photograph...it is pretty wild...the roots wrap around the base of the cuff as if they are grasping it. The two are vastly different, but I thought "petrified" was more in line with the show's theme. KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED!

Great news!

We just found out that we have been accepted as vending artists at the Corpus Christi Festival of the Arts in late March. We are so excited!
