I will be working on my metal pieces for the next few days...preparing for the Corpus Christi Festival of the Arts (March 26th and 27th). The new pieces are copper, red brass, nickel silver, and aluminum. I can't wait to show y'all!
I'm going to start off with bandages on my left hand to prevent injury. Katie told me that I can't actually put blood, sweat, and tears into my art. I agree...but I thought that was funny coming from a 9 year old. I guess she has seen me injure myself enough.
I am so excited about my booth!!!!!! :)
Oh, also...I finished a copper and petrified wood cuff for a show piece. It is being juried right now, so I don't have pictures, but I am super proud of it. It is called, "Petrified Forest Copper Cuff." It has a pretty awesome curly copper tree. I'll post some pics when I get them. I did another tree cuff that I will photograph...it is pretty wild...the roots wrap around the base of the cuff as if they are grasping it. The two are vastly different, but I thought "petrified" was more in line with the show's theme. KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED!
