Oh boy! Lots going on that I want to share!

Laurelynn Art-to-Wear Jewelry is back in the gift shop at the Art Museum of South Texas! I tell you what, being there feels like home. It was my first shop to carry my jewelry back when I was seed bead weaving-20 years ago! I have some stories to tell later!

Also, We are working on a radio ad that will run for a month on 93.5 & 107.7 Young Country in South Texas. We are beyond excited about this! Will update with info when I get it from the station manager.

I have a few ladies in line to feature in Laurelynn's Luminary. Not saying who they are yet! :) I know some amazing people!

Tejana Made is writing a product review on my jewelry! I am very excited to see what she says! I will pass the link along when it publishes.

My favorite Farmers Market has an Arts & Craft show twice a year. I will be at it again. I love doing this particular Arts & Craft show because the people and the vibe are extraordinary. Check out my show schedule for the specifics.

The Corpus Christi Dia de los Muertos Street Festival is one of the biggest Dia de los Muertos Festivals in the Country! This year we are hearing that a film crew from MTV will be at the festival. LAST year, a film crew covered the festival for a documentary on PBS. In 2012, MSN named the Corpus Christi Dia de los Muertos Street Festival one of the top 10 in the country. Don't miss this fantastic event! It is FAMILY friendly!

Independents Show 2014

Two of my Mixed Media Art pieces are currently in the Independents Show 2014 at the Art Center of Corpus Christi. The show runs July 2-27, 2014. "Storybook" is a 12" x 12" Mixed Media wall hanging. It is a hand drawn copper etching with cutouts backed with painting. The piece is two separate panels riveted together. "Epilogue" is a 6" x 6" Mixed Media wall hanging. It is a hand drawn copper piece adorned with a jasper and copper signature Laurelynn flower. It is a bridge between my art-to-wear jewelry flower line and my mixed media art.

Independents Show 2014 at the Art Center of Corpus Christi

I have mixed media artwork in the Independents Show at the Art Center of Corpus Christi, July 2-27, 2014. Both of my etched copper mixed media pieces were juried in! They are called "Storybook" and "Epilogue." English teacher??? ;)

4th of July in Corpus Christi - Artwalk

I will be at Artwalk on July 4th this year. It is a little different because the city is also holding the Big Bang Celebration. Artwalk in La Retama Park will have altered times---4-8. You can visit Artwalk and stay for the fireworks! As always I will be on Mesquite and Peoples selling my art jewelry. I will also be making jewelry in the park for anyone who wants to choose their own gemstones and copper piece for a necklace!

4/4/14 FRIDAY 5:30-9 ARTWALK downtown Corpus Christi in La Retama Park. (My booth is on the corner of Mesquite and Peoples. Look for my banner that says "Laurelynn." 4/5/15 SATURDAY 9-5 BIG BLOOM at the Botanical Gardens in Corpus Christi. Watch my blog and facebook page for posts on where to find my booth. It is DOLLAR DAY at the Gardens which makes it a perfect day to bring out the family. BIG BLOOM is an awesome plant sale. Year 2 for me!

Booth Update - Corpus Christi Festival of the Arts

I just checked in at the Festival of the Arts! Heritage Park is transforming! The performing area is in the middle of the park in front of the Galvan House. The vending area is split between the two parking lots. My booth is located in the parking lot on the corner of Fitzgerald and Mesquite. It is going to be beautiful this weekend!
