Precious Metal Clay is AMAZING!

I love what I am able to do with this medium! The photo is of the greenware stage of some fine silver earrings that I have in my shop. Precious metal clay is first like working with ceramics and then, after torch firing the pieces, is like metalsmithing. All with the same pieces. AMAZING!

Here is an update from Laurelynn Art Jewelry: My heart goes out to everyone during this trying time. The closures of all of the stores that carry our jewelry and of every market and of every art festival that we rely on in the Spring has been particularly difficult for many reasons. While I am slowly working on new pieces for my online store, it cannot be my focus right now. Laurelynn Art Jewelry is part of my spirit and I love it. I even rely on it financially. My focus is on my family and on my main job. I am a 7th Grade Reading Teacher and alongside all of the teachers in America, I have been in panic mode launching online school for my students. This is an incredible amount of work and learning on our part as teachers and I am lucky to have an amazing team of teachers to work with. It has been nothing short of exhausting. I am looking forward to having the time to freely create and I promise I will share with you online. Love to you all. Jennifer

Island Made Art Re-Opening Celebration 1 Year after Hurricane Harvey

We were so happy to be able to go out an support Island Made Art last night. The Shops at Old Town had an re-opening celebration on the anniversary of Hurricane Harvey. The shop looked amazing after all it went through a year ago. They had flood water and a caved in roof. The renovations look amazing. Take a look at the pictures to see what it looks like now!
