We had a fantastic day at the Art in the Garden at the Gill Landscaping Nursery yesterday. The weather was really nice and we met so many new people. I felt pretty lucky to see so many of our Artwalk friends as well. We participated at Gill's Alameda store. My booth was next to their Christmas trees, so I felt like I was in a forest all day. There was the most amazingly large Christmas tree right next to us. I would definitely recommend their nursery if you are looking for a live tree this year. They also have these adorable lawn art/ornaments that are metal. I came so close to coming home with a new little metal goat for the backyard! The Gill nursery staff were great hosts. It is so refreshing to see so many people so happy at their workplace. Everyone there was upbeat and happy. I think that makes owning one of their Christmas trees even better. :) We did come home with some new plants that Katie and Mom picked out: a ponytail palm, a cactus, a ficus, and an aloe vera. Just lovely. I would like to thank Sally Gill for inviting us to her Art in the Garden!
What was really great about this event was that all of the vendors and the Gill Landscaping Nursery donated 10% of all sales from the event to The Nature Conservancy, a wildlife protection non-profit organization. We are placing our donation in the mail tomorrow!
